The Flat and the Curved

My first post from 2015, with an image from one of my last rolls of 2014: I saw the ups and downs of the fence, against an eternally flat horizon.

Banff Springs Hotel

As much as I love the natural splender of Banff, from an architectural point of view, the Banff Springs hotel is quite something. This glass-walled room in particular is incredible!

Words and Images

I found this scene recently and was struck by the ironic contrast between the mural art and the words in the image, especially if one disregards the context of the words. Given recent events in the U.S. the irony becomes bitter.

A Quiet Moment

I don’t often get a chance to photograph children, so it was fun recently to get a few images of the younger son of a good photographer friend of mine. He likes to move around a lot, so the manual focus was a challenge!

A few light leaks on the film 😦
